Learning How to Handle Difficult Communication - with greater strength and ease - with family, friends and colleagues

Picture

Using the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC),
I aim to expand your awareness of what gets in the way of
effective communication and give you some simple principles
to guide future conversations so that you are more in touch with
what helps and what doesn't help connection between people
(and in yourself) to happen

By the end of the workshop, I hope you will:

  • Have a greater understanding of how to communicate in a way that keeps the flow of communication going (when that is what you want)
  • Have more effective ways of asking for what you want
  • Have some ways of looking after yourself when communication doesn't happen in the way you hoped.
  • Have some practice in deep listening (putting aside your judgments, ideas and advice and getting curious about the deepen needs of the other)
  • See the benefits of cultivating a 'both/and' way of thinking rather than an 'either/or' one
  • More awareness of your own blind spots and how to look out for them in conversations
  • See how, when you transform your judgments into your needs, the 'right' words to communicate find themselves
